On May 16, 2015 after the restoration, visitors will have an opportunity to visit Soroca fortress. Work on the reconstruction carried out in the framework of the project "Medieval treasures: the fortress Hotin, Suceava, Soroca".

Nicholay Bulat, director of the Museum of History and Ethnography, said that last year repaired Independetii street that leads to the fortress. Also built a tiled roof above the five towers.

Architect Eugene Bizgu developed a restoration project together with one of Romanian companies and said that this is the first stage of reconstruction of the fortress, then still they have two more stages.

The total cost of the project is EUR 3 million, which provided by the European funds.
