Reparation of Sarateni-Soroca Highway, which lasted two years, has been completed. Roadway stretching for 93 kilometers is commissioned.

Funds for the restoration of the road, in the amount of one hundred million dollars, were provided by the government of the United States of America.

The ceremony of putting the road into operation was attended by Prime Minister Leanca, as well as US Ambassador to Moldova William Moser.

Pleased with the results, the United States Ambassador to Moldova, said: "I am delighted that this day has come. There were plenty of skeptics who said that this road would never be built, but today we see that they were wrong. We have presented the gift to the Moldovan people. We hope that this road will serve from 50 to 100 years. "
